چکیده

Abstract. In our previous studies, we filtered out fungus (Trichoderma reesei) to have the best ability transform corn straw into a humic-acid-like substance through laboratory incubation experiments. order further verify former findings, set up 360 d field experiment that included three treatments applied under equal carbon (C) mass: (i) returned (CS), (ii) fermented treated with Trichoderma reesei (FCS-T), and (iii) blank control treatment (CK). Soil organic (SOC), soil labile C components, humus composition, management levels of SOC pools were analyzed compared. The results showed content CS FCS-T increased by 12.71 % 18.81 %, respectively, compared CK at d. humic acid (HA-C) was 0.77 g kg?1 higher than in treatment. Applying appeared promote significant increase content, pool activity index, index accumulation HA-C, humin carbon, easily oxidizable carbon. (FCS-T) is more valuable conducive increasing (EOC) direct application straw.

Effect of Tillage and Straw Returning on Nitrogen Reserves in Summer Corn Topsoil

A field experiment with six treatments was conducted to study the nitrogen reserves in summer maize topsoil on the north China plain. Results showed that topdressing significantly increased topsoil nitrogen reserves. Summer corn topsoil nitrogen reserves were affected by several management measures. Shallow tillage, wheat straw no-returning and deep intertillage at the corn seedling stage signi...

Simultaneous Saccharification and Fermentation of Corn Straw to Lactic Acid

The utilization of corn straw to produce lactic acid could largely save the resource as well as decrease the amount of agricultural waste. In this study, orthogonal experimental design was adopted to investigate the optimum conditions for cellulase production from corn straw, and then the cellulase was further used to produce lactic acid through simultaneous saccharification and fermentation (S...

Biochar derived from corn straw affected availability and distribution of soil nutrients and cotton yield

Biochar application as a soil amendment has been proposed as a strategy to improve soil fertility and increase crop yields. However, the effects of successive biochar applications on cotton yields and nutrient distribution in soil are not well documented. A three-year field study was conducted to investigate the effects of successive biochar applications at different rates on cotton yield and o...

Effects of Deep Tillage and Straw Returning on Soil Microorganism and Enzyme Activities

Two field experiments were conducted for two years with the aim of studying the effects of deep tillage and straw returning on soil microorganism and enzyme activity in clay and loam soil. Three treatments, (1) conventional tillage (CT), shallow tillage and straw returning; (2) deep tillage (DT), deep tillage and straw returning; and (3) deep tillage with no straw returning (DNT), were carried ...
